North Pole 2015: Thomas Ulrich just skiing expedition begins in Canada

It was a busy week at the North Pole, where the ice Bareno Camp continues to serve as a temporary base for researchers, explorers, and adventurers. This year the camp was opened a couple of weeks ago, which means it is near the end of his life but will continue to see arrivals and departures scheduled until the season ends in the Arctic before the end of the month.

They have started work to repair the plane had its landing gear damaged on arrival back to when the first camp Barneo opened. As you can imagine, this is not an easy task when you are to a degree beyond a Pole. The plane has obviously been out of service for most of the season, and consequently, the support flights Longyearbyen in Norway were forced to use a single aircraft this year. Two crew members were aboard these flights and the flight plan has been almost nonstop for free people, fuel, and supplies to the base. Add to nearly one week of robberies due to weather, and the teams struggled to keep up.

One of the biggest pieces of news to come in Barneo in the last two days is what polar guide Thomas Ulrich has achieved with its customer's 90 ° N team. They skied the last degree to the North Pole after starting the ice camp last week. These customers were broken in the ice by a Russian helicopter and repatriated to the base, which then made their way home. But Ulrich said goodbye to the top of the world because now we will proceed to ski solo on Canadian ice off Ellesmere Island. This expedition will serve as a tune for your further plans for 2016 when it is expected to cross the entire Arctic - across the North Pole - all alone and on foot.

Participants in the Cup race teams Marmont 2015 triggered yesterday. They run through the last degree to the North Pole, with five teams competing to become the first to reach this point. The all-female team led by Bettina Aller ran into some problems yesterday, however, when one of their stoves do not work. A support team was sent to help, and they are still on track to continue, but it was almost a disaster for the team before it actually launched. It is expected to reach 90 ° N times next weekend.

Finally, skiers' degrees continue to arrive in Barneo. Yesterday, three squadrons led by Borge Outland, and Bengt Rotmo dixie Dansercoer - each pole legend - came to the camp of ice. They make their way north in the coming days as well. If you want to see what this type of shipment is like, have a look at these photos of a team of Norwegian teenagers who recently completed their journey through the final grade.

Finally, a report on ExWeb Christian Redl, who has just completed a free dive in the Arctic Ocean. According to the story, the air temperature was -30 ° C / -22 ° C when it sank through an opening of 1.6 meters of ice, where the water temperature was -2 ° C / 28 ° F Soft. But Christian said it was the best experience I had in diving. Water is 2,000 meters (6,261 feet) deep so it fell too, and even if it was dark, it was also very clear. Snorkeling took place near the camp Barneo, where a crew had cut the opening for him. ExWeb known diver said he was one of the most significant of his career dives.

This is all from the north. Always a busy time in Barneo, but only a week or two before stopping for the season again.
